The Amos Claudius Sawyer Foundation is a distinguished independent, non-partisan nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing democratic governance, the rule of law, and sustainable peace in Liberia and the broader West African region.

Named in honor of the late Professor Amos Claudius Sawyer, an esteemed scholar, statesman, and former Interim President of Liberia, the Foundation builds on his legacy of leadership, scholarship, and civic service to foster inclusive, resilient, and equitable societies.

The Amos Claudius Sawyer Foundation is inspired by the life and work of Professor Amos C. Sawyer, and blends scholarly insight with practical engagement to address some of the most pressing governance challenges of our time.
